ABOUT ZOO & ROOTS

The Biology Graduate Students Society was created as a way to improve social ties among the postgraduate students in Cruickshank & Zoology Buildings, Ocean Lab, Marine Scotland, ACES, James Hutton Institute and the Lighthouse Field Station. We want to create a community based around social events and mutual support! 

Our mission statement:

​"We came, we saw, and we knew we needed a change! Our calling is to bring together the best of Zoo & Roots to simply have fun, exchange ideas and create a community. All with a beverage in our hands while enjoying the wonderful gardens - the central meeting point of our Society whatever the season!"
